Faller Packaging will be presenting its solutions at this year’s Pharmapack in Paris.
The company aims to offer cost-efficient ways to order packages in small quantities, and will show how a digitalised supply chain can make procurement more transparent and flexible.
Faller manufactures folding cartons, package inserts and adhesive labels in-house and combines them to offer customised, full-range solutions. Manufacturers of pharmaceutical products can get tailor-made packages from a single source, derived from sustainable production. They can also significantly reduce the administrative effort involved in the procurement process.
In response to the growing demand for smaller batch sizes and shorter delivery times, Faller Packaging has founded a subsidiary, PackEx, which specialises in the production of folding cartons in small and minimal quantities.
The digitalised manufacturing process enables PackEx to deliver orders within only 72 hours and offers possibilities for the individualisation and personalisation of packaging.
Faller’s aim is to better understand customers’ processes, including those preceding and following orders, and coordinate them with its own workflows. The basis for this is continuous exchange of all relevant data. A value chain that is digitalised from end to end can significantly increase efficiency and flexibility in packaging procurement while cutting the costs of warehousing and transport.
The company has developed various coding and security solutions for its packaging that meet all legal requirements. When necessary, it can also print crypto codes, which have been required by law in Russia since January 2020.
Pharmapack takes place in Paris from 5-6 February.
