IPF offering new material and faster deliveries

IPF will be exhibiting the new PolyJet rubber-like material 'Agilus30' from Stratasys at Med-Tech Innovation this year.

Located just north of London, IPF provides professional 3D printing, plastic machining and fabrication services. The firm 3D prints parts with high end Polyjet, FDM, SLA and SLS technologies in desired materials and colours, typically cleaned and ready within 48 hours. IPF’s machining service offers CNC cutting, milling, turning, diffusion bonding, laser engraving, and UV printing of quality prototypes and end use parts to specification.

IPF will be exhibiting the new PolyJet rubber-like material ‘Agilus30` from Stratasys at Med-Tech Innovation year. As a VIP user, IPF was amongst the first to get its hands on the new injection overmoulding simulant. This rubber-like material has higher tear resistance and elongation as well as better heat deflection, creating parts that are able to withstand repeated flexing and bending, allowing users to test their product’s functionality with ease.

The group will also be exhibiting examples of its diffusion bonding service - the process of fusing layers of pre-machined acrylic together at a molecular level without the use of adhesives or solvents to achieve clear, strong joints and parts that are free from contamination.

IPF says it has invested in further improving its process to provide micro-fluidic plates and medical manifolds which are used for scientific analysis, flow analysis and chemical mixing. Such parts require complex internal track features which cannot be achieved using conventional methods. This can be quite a timely process, but IPF says it is currently working to a lead time of just 3-4 weeks. The firm says it has worked on lots of exclusive end exciting projects, including parts that have featured in some of the latest blockbuster movies, TV advertising and everyday products such as smart phones and wearable technology.

The group will be on-hand at stand 9.
