State of IoT adoption for healthcare and medical devices

IoT in healthcare is finally coming of age. Innovative organisations are embracing IoT and seeing tangible business benefits. But adoption is not without its challenges.

Eseye conducted its second annual survey of 500 senior IoT decision-makers in the UK and US to shed light on the status and scale of IoT adoption. IoT decision-makers shared their experiences with IoT projects in healthcare and medical devices.

In terms of the benefits that IoT initiatives have delivered, cash-strapped healthcare organisations rated increasing profit (32%) and reducing costs (31%) higher than the other vertical sectors surveyed.

What was interesting is that even though healthcare providers are under extreme pressure with heavy patient backlogs and demand for services at an all time high, they clearly see the value of IoT initiatives with 97% stating that they intend to increase budgets which was second highest out of all the verticals.

At Eseye, we understand that connectivity is the foundation of successful IoT healthcare and medical devices. That's why we've developed AnyNet+ IoT eSIM, which offers unbeatable global coverage of over 700 networks and ensures reliable end-to-end connectivity for your devices. It's time to achieve better health outcomes, everywhere and every time.
