Start-ups for Reactor 21 accelerator announced

Health Venture Lab together with GE Healthcare and EIT Health has named the 21 teams who will join the Reactor’21 MedTech accelerator to advance their innovations tackling various issues in the field of medical imaging, AI solutions and hospital optimisation processes. 

Despite the economic crisis and restrictive measures associated with the pandemic, corporations continue to demonstrate an interest in digital health innovation and openness to the research, pilot and implement new technologies.

Recognising the need to strengthen digital health implementation – Health Venture Lab commenced its fourth Reactor MedTech accelerator in April 2021. Reactor will provide knowledge and valuable insights into commercializing their digital health products and rectifying development models for new markets to minimize the number of possible errors and overcome the "Death Valley" faster and smoothly. 

HVL received a 110+ applicants with wide geographical and innovative portfolios. Finalists represent Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and other applicants came from Denmark, Estonia, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia and United States.

Health Venture Lab will provide a potent combination of entrepreneurial mentors, healthcare experts and a solid community to support the 2021 cohort on their journey from early-stage prototype to customer-facing product. Health Venture Lab will keep in close touch with the cohort even after graduation, offering ongoing support to its alumni and helping shift their business creation efforts to an international level by linking them with the ecosystem partners.”
