The Anti-Counterfeiting Forum will host its 10th Annual Seminar at BAE Systems Park Centre in Farnborough, Hampshire on Wednesday 20th March 2019.

This seminar will focus on current trends and new developments in combating counterfeits in the supply chain.

The event will include presentations and provide information on topics including:

Delegates will be able to participate in a discussion forum and meet potential solution providers.

The emergence of high-volume applications in recent years continues to dominate demand for electrical and electronic components while component manufacturers struggle to match supply to demand. Lead times on many products have now become almost unmanageable often forcing the use of untried sources of supply and often in the grey market.

Long and complex business relationships in the grey market heighten the risk of counterfeiting infiltrating the supply chain. As a result of increased lead times, low value components are being counterfeited and, at the same time, counterfeit components are becoming increasingly difficult to detect, both due to increased miniaturisation and ‘improved’ fabrication techniques by the counterfeiters.
