Here, the Facebook page is focused on creating an open source ventilator and other medical supplies. The idea of the group is for users to share critical information on how to make necessary medical equipment quickly and cheaply in order to treat any patients infected with the coronavirus.
The page was initially set up to develop an open source ventilator to cope with the coronavirus pandemic. One of the main symptoms of the coronavirus is shortness of breath, and so ventilators are necessary to help people breathe. However, it quickly became apparent that all medical supplies related to the coronavirus would quickly run out, and so the group became focused on these too.
