Dow Silicones and DuPont showcasing new adhesive and synergistic portfolio of medical-grade materials at Compamed

Dow Silicones Corporation and DuPont, subsidiaries of the Specialty Products Division of DowDuPont, are presenting their combined portfolio of innovative, medical-grade specialty polymers and silicone technologies, and launching a new, high-performance soft skin adhesive at Compamed 2018 in Hall 8a, Stand M27.

Drawing upon an extensive history of proven performance and trusted expertise, Dow Silicones and DuPont are working together to offer the industry new material solutions for developing unique medical device designs and enhancing their performance, usability and aesthetics.

Dow Silicones is showcasing its DOW CORNING-brand medical silicones, which encompass silicone elastomers, solutions for siliconisation and device adhesion, and liquid silicone rubber. Featured among these, Dow Silicones’ new soft skin adhesive offers extended wear properties for skin-adhered medical devices.

DuPont will highlight high-quality thermoplastics used to manufacture demanding components in applications such as drug delivery devices, wearables, prosthetics and wound care. Attendees can learn about the high mechanical and chemical properties of DuPont Hytrel, Delrin, Zytel and Crastin grades in critical applications such as diabetes pump connector, insulin pen or surgical retractor. This combined portfolio reflects the two companies’ complementary strengths in research, application development, materials technology and regulatory compliance, backed by global manufacturing and supply.

Compamed is being held at Messe Düsseldorf in Düsseldorf, Germany, until 15th November.
