Irish 3D printing firm on hand to produce supplies quickly

MedScan3D, a division within 3D Technology, has expressed its openness to help supply hospitals with necessities that may be running low as they tackle the Coronavirus outbreak.

Additive manufacturing will play a vital role in producing any components and items that are required quickly and cheaply.

MedScan3D/ 3DTechnology is based in the west of Ireland, and is running in house ISO 10993 and Class VI materials which are bio-compatible and the parts can be sterilised by autoclave afterwards.

The company has SLS, DLP, FDM and SLA machines and has a customer base with DMP which it has access to.

MedScan is trial printing items so it is ready to supply at a moment’s notice if and when the hospital is in need.
