Digital transformation solutions to be showcased at P4H England

Specialist technology solutions provider, Distec, has announced it will be exhibiting at P4H England 2023, England’s NHS procurement event, taking place 12th July 2023 at the NEC in Birmingham.

P4H England brings together buyers and suppliers from across the healthcare sector. It provides extensive skills development, networking, collaboration and product showcase opportunities for those who work in or are keen to break into the UK’s healthcare procurement marketplace.

Distec will be exhibiting in partnership with Advantech, a provider of healthcare solutions. Distec and Advantech supply medical-grade computers, medical carts, clinical monitors, medical tablets and digital signage suitable for all healthcare environments.

The UK healthcare system is at a crossroads. It’s widely accepted that digital transformation and the implementation of new innovative technologies will positively affect the sector’s efficiency. However, more must be done to improve the current digital processes.

For example, the British Medical Association (BMA) estimates that 27% of NHS clinicians lose over four hours a week due to insufficient IT systems. Furthermore, the healthcare sector is a common target for cybercriminals, so the need to update legacy IT infrastructure and prioritise digital transformation is clear.

In response, the NHS recently announced a package of deals worth more than £1 billion to provide general practice and the wider primary-care sector with a range of new digital services. A suite of frameworks will cover core electronic patient record (EPR) systems as well as several platforms to support digital care services such as audiovisual tools for remote consultations and appointment management systems.

Hisham El Dada, key account manager at Advantech iHealthcare, said: “We’re excited to be attending P4H England 2023 alongside our partners, Distec. It’s a fantastic opportunity to display the systems and solutions that we believe can accelerate digital transformation and positively impact patient outcomes across the healthcare sector. We look forward to meeting the attendees and demonstrating the benefits of embracing innovative digital solutions.”

Through its partnership with Advantech, Distec is driving digital transformation in public and private healthcare. Its aim is to deliver solutions that help healthcare professionals and institutions reduce costs, improve operational efficiency and enhance patient care.
