ABHI announces first round of major exhibitors for Arab Health

The Association of British HealthTech Industries (ABHI) has announced the first round of major exhibitors joining the ABHI UK Pavilion at the Arab Health Exhibition & Congress, taking place 30 January – 2 February 2023 in Dubai, UAE.

With a busy programme of activity planned, ABHI has announced that one of the key highlights at next year’s show will come courtesy of exhibitor GlucoRx – a supplier of innovative diabetes management solutions – who will be joining the ABHI and Department for International Trade (DIT) UK Pavilion to demonstrate its diabetic products and glucose testing solutions.

GlucoRx has launched the UK’s first Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) on prescription, GlucoRx AiDEX. Additionally, their new GlucoRx BioXensor technology provides a novel non-invasive Continuous Blood Glucose Monitor that generates real-time glucose measurements which can be transmitted wirelessly via Bluetooth to a smartphone or watch. Visitors to the ABHI stand will be able to test out these solutions.

Also making its return to the ABHI UK Pavilion is the Harley Street Medical Area (HSMA), who will be bringing together its unique cluster of world-leading clinics and hospital groups to showcase the very best of London’s medical excellence. During the four days of the congress, they will be hosting a variety of presentations, with esteemed clinicians presenting on their pioneering work under the ABHI banner. The HSMA is home to over 5,000 practitioners, small clinics and full-scale hospitals covering over 200 medical specialisms. Harley Street Medical Area clinics and hospitals attending Arab Health include Cleveland Clinic London, Mayo Clinic Healthcare, HCA UK, Moorfields Private Eye Hospital and The London Clinic.

The trade association will also welcome back Hertfordshire-based infection control specialists GAMA Healthcare, who will be showcasing its latest innovations in infection control technology. The company has patented many formulations to help reduce the spread of infections such as COVID—19. This includes air filtration, surface cleaning and disinfection and hand hygiene solutions for healthcare and dental environments.

Invest Northern Ireland – the economic development agency for Northern Ireland – has also confirmed its participation on the ABHI & DIT stand. Together its cohort of medical technology companies will be showcasing their latest innovations and developments to promote the unique strengths and world-class excellence of the region to a global audience.

Michelle Michelucci, international manager, ABHI, said: “We are so delighted to welcome such prestigious companies, partners and organisations to the ABHI UK Pavilion. Together we will demonstrate the strengths of UK healthtech to a global audience of over 55,000 healthcare and trade professionals, giving visitors a chance to see cutting-edge technologies and the latest product launches – and showcase how UK technology and expertise can help solve some of today’s biggest healthcare challenges.”

Arab Health is the largest gathering of healthcare and trade professionals in the MENA region. Each year the event attracts over 3,000 exhibitors from 70 countries. The show provides a prime opportunity for UK healthcare manufacturers and providers to showcase the very best of talent and innovation to a global audience.

With over 100 of the industry’s most forward-thinking companies already signed up, ABHI has announced that next year’s stand is set to nearly double the amount of space taken at the 2022 show.
