ABHI opens applications for 2022 US Accelerator

The Association for British HealthTech Industries (ABHI) – the UK industry association for health technology – has announced that applications for the ABHI US Accelerator 2022 cohort are now open.

Now in its fourth year, the ABHI US Accelerator, conducted in partnership with the Dell Medical School in Austin, Texas, is aimed at UK medical device, diagnostic and digital health companies looking to access the US healthcare landscape. The 12-month programme of support provides companies with the opportunity to define and strengthen their US strategy, de-risk market entry and grow their US business by utilising ABHI’s advice, expertise and connections within the country.

The programme also facilitates introductions to hospital, clinical, and supply chain leaders, enabling companies to liaise directly with decision-makers to discuss their products and services. Participating companies will have exclusive access to ABHI’s year-round programme of trade missions and virtual activity across the US.

The 2022 programme will run from January 2022 – December 2022, with participants able to make full use of ABHI’s workspace and office at the Dell Medical School.

Paul Benton, managing director, International, said: “The ABHI US Accelerator is a great way to help drive your business within the world's largest healthtech market, especially following what has been a hard-hit year for global trade. Through the ABHI US Accelerator, companies have exclusive access to our extensive network and the advice and expertise it offers, including unrivalled access to senior physicians, c-suite level health system executives, and a whole host of US healthcare contacts.

“Feedback from previous cohorts has been incredibly positive, with many delegates expressing how transformational the experience has been for them and their businesses. We look forward to this year’s field of submissions and encourage any healthtech companies looking to upscale their US business to apply.”
