Hamamatsu Photonics names Tadashi Maruno as president

Hamamatsu Photonics has appointed Mr. Tadashi Maruno as representative director and president during the 75th ordinary meeting of Hamamatsu Photonics K.K, which took place in mid-December 2022.

Mr. Tadashi Maruno has been working with Hamamatsu Photonics for 40 years. Prior to this role, he has been representative director and senior managing executive officer. He also worked as manager (2014) and then later as division director (2017) of the system division which includes all of the manufacturing and semiconductor support systems, photometry systems, and life science & medical systems.

Max Skoglund, Hamamatsu Photonics Europe managing director, said: “We are looking forward to working with Mr. Tadashi Maruno and the new Management team as they navigate us toward further success!”

Hamamatsu’s previous representative director and president for 13 years, Mr. Akira Hiruma is now the representative director and chairman.
