MEDICA 2022 declared a success for Medilink UK Pavilion companies

Medilink has said that MEDICA 2022 was a huge success for companies who chose to be part of its UK Pavilion.

A mix of new and experienced exporters formed the UK delegation and were part of the 5,000 exhibitors from 70 countries showcasing their products and services to the 81,000 visitors from the global healthcare industry.

Exhibitors reported high levels of activity from day one including valuable networking opportunities, meetings with existing clients and distributors, and the generation of new leads from across the globe.

According to Medilink’s International team the success of the show was evidenced by the large number of exhibitors who have already secured their space for the 2023 exhibition on the Medilink UK Pavilion.

The exhibition proved to be a momentous occasion for Medilink itself for a number of reasons. Not only did it mark the organisation’s 25th anniversary, it also coincided with Medilink’s 20th year of delivering the Medilink UK Pavilion at MEDICA. And with 60 exhibitors taking space this year, the pavilion was the largest to date.

On the evening of the first day, guests were invited to the Medilink UK Pavilion for a cocktail reception to celebrate a quarter of a century of the organisation supporting life sciences innovators in the UK. During this time, Medilink has helped hundreds of Medtech companies large and small achieve growth, profitability and commercial success.

Medilink was honoured to have the British consul-general of Düsseldorf, Rafe Courage, open the proceedings. Also present at the reception were Christian Grosser, director of Medica and Mr Erhard Wienkamp, managing director, Messe Düsseldorf.

The event was attended by around 300 guests who heard the Consul-General congratulate Medilink on its history of helping life sciences companies innovate and prosper by delivering international, regulatory and commercialisation consultancy support.

Managing director at Medilink North of England, Tom Elliott, expressed his thanks on behalf of Medilink UK.

“We are honoured that the consul-general was able to take time out of his busy schedule to open our reception and thank him for his support, particularly during these challenging economic times.

We are also grateful to the many colleagues who have joined us to celebrate this fantastic milestone and thank them for their kind wishes, and a big thank you to Christian Grosser, director of Medica and Mr Erhard Wienkamp, managing director Messe Düsseldorf who both came to congratulate us on our anniversary.

“Medilink has been dedicated to furthering the interests of UK companies in the life sciences sector for the past 25 years and will continue to provide its support for this dynamic and innovative sector of the UK economy. Once again MEDICA provides the perfect platform to present their medical solutions to a global audience and engage face-to-face with potential clients and collaborators. We wish all of our exhibitors a successful show.”

As a UK partner of exhibition organisers, Messe Düsseldorf, Medilink UK supported an additional 50 companies from the North of England and Midlands regions attending trade missions with the Department for International Trade (DIT).
