Gel-Pak to showcase customised films and device carriers at MD&M

Gel-Pak, a Delphon company and a global expert in materials and protective carriers for advanced technologies, has announced it will showcase its custom silicone, TPU, and TPE film extrusion and coating capabilities along with its biocompatible carriers for the medical device industry.

Gel-Pak manufactures customised elastomer films for a variety of existing and emerging applications in the medical and electronics industries. These highly engineered films are manufactured in a cleanroom environment and offer optical clarity, chemical resistance, low hysteresis, and tight process control. The company also provides biocompatible boxes, trays, slides, and films that securely hold medical components in place during transport, processing, and storage. The new BTXF JEDEC Tray, manufactured with a unique micro-textured film, laminated to the bottom of a flat JEDEC tray, immobilises medical devices using non-adhesive holding forces, yet allows for easy removal. The product is used as a handling medium during manufacturing processes or for shipping. These products are manufactured in an ISO certified, class 10,000 cleanroom.
