Paxman has been collaborating with The Engine Room, a brand consultancy since 2015. Projects together have included the production of video profiling, emotive case studies and technical literature.

Lesley Gulliver, managing director of The Engine Room, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to achieve silver at the DBA: Design Effectiveness Awards and be highly recognised by our industry peers alongside several national design agencies.”

The Engine Room was set the challenge of changing the global face of cancer with a particular focus on America, as a result of trials progressing towards US Food and Drug Administration clearance.

Paxman says that all elements of the business are now thought about in terms of how they are designed; their products, their communications and service and their behaviour and attitudes. At the same time as this rebrand, the ‘Chasing Zero Hair Loss’ campaign also went live and achieved international recognition from key medical media titles across the globe.

Kathryn Daniel, head of marketing at Paxman said: “The innovative approach to our strategic design work alongside The Engine Room shows no signs of slowing down as we continue to lead in our market with an authentic, world-class brand. We are delighted to receive this award alongside our talented colleagues and show how our important collaboration is a crucial feature in how we help patients every single day.”

The DBA: Design Effectiveness Awards recognise the difference design makes, and measure and verify the evidence-based impacts associated with design. The designs have been incorporated by Paxman in to departments such as product design, research and development, and sales and marketing.
