Phillips-Medisize enhances platform to boost medication adherence

Medical device maker, Phillips-Medisize has released a connected health platform to help improve the way people take medication when using connected health devices.

The company’s third generation connected health platform works with connected medical devices such as injectors and inhalers to support patients. The platform is able to track patients’ medication, set reminders, and provide incentives and peer communities to improve disease management, medication adherence and potentially, health outcomes.

Phillips-Medisize’s platform uses a health integration engine alongside analytics to integrate patient data with electronic medical records and other data from pharmacy and connected devices. The company hopes that the platform is able to improve health and medication outcomes for patients, key challenges faced by the industry.

“Phillips-Medisize is a leader in connected health systems for medicine currently on the market, supporting patients daily across the globe. This new, advanced connected health platform builds on our deep knowledge and experience,” said Bill Welch, chief technology officer, Phillips-Medisize. “For us, connected health is a strategy for better serving our customers and their patients, not a buzz word. We are unmatched in the industry with our global innovation, development and manufacturing capabilities to create end-to-end systems.”
