Raumedic to showcase cartridges for drug delivery at Pharmapack

Raumedic will once again exhibit at Pharmapack when doors open in Paris on 7-8 February.

The company is set to present its polymer solutions for the industry at Europe’s trade fair for pharmaceutical packaging and drug delivery.

Visitors to Raumedic’s booth can learn how individual requirements of the pharmaceutical industry can be realised as marketable system solutions made from polymer. The company will focus on disposable cartridges for mobile drug injection devices, which are a core element of wearable patch pumps.

Special attention must be paid to the material of the disposable cartridge for when it comes into direct contact with the administered drug. The materials need to ensure that interactions with the drugs are virtually excluded.

Raumedic also uses siliconisation processes, UV bonding and laser marking to transform numerous individual components into functional modules for mobile drug injection devices

Claudia Fink, production manager in the Business Unit Systems, said: “This complexity also makes it necessary to have versatile production methods. With us, customers receive everything from one source.”

Raumedic uses a wide range of polymer processing methods including silicone and two-component injection moulding as well as coextrusion.
