Wessex TSP calls for solutions for improved diabetes control

The Wessex Academic Health Science Network and the NIHR Clinical Research Network, Wessex, recently launched a new call on the Wessex Technology Support Programme (TSP) has launched a call to industry on solutions for improved diabetes control.

The companies successfully accepted into the programme will benefit from an NHS research partnership and trial support to deliver a clinical study within the NHS.

The clinical needs for which technology is sought are:

  1. the simplification of insulin delivery in targeted Type 1 patients such as the frail and those with learning difficulties
  2. improved insulin bolus dose adjustment
  3. data-driven technologies that support treatment stratification
  4. clinical monitoring of patient activation in Diabetes management.

The TSP is seeking companies that are working in any of these areas and have an innovation, not currently in use in the NHS, which they want to evaluate in an NHS setting. Find out more here. Applications close on the 23rd September 2019.
