Work begins to expand lab capacity for new material characterisation studies

Work has begun on the building of new lab capacity at Medical Engineering Technologies.

The new laboratories will offer simulated use extraction, leachable and exhaustive extraction technologies combined with GC-MS, HPLC-MS, HPLC-TOF and many other analysis techniques for materials characterisation. On the physical side there will be increased capacity for product performance testing.

CEO Mark Turner said: “We are more than doubling our space for ISO 10993-18 material characterisation studies and adding over 50% to our physical testing area for medical device performance testing. This will allow us to expand our exemplary service to more clients across the globe. We are all really proud of this development.”

The construction work has commenced and is scheduled for completion in February 2019. The work is at MET’s headquarters, sited in Dover, UK.
