Top talks at Med-Tech Innovation Expo

At Med-Tech Innovation Expo, the UK & Ireland’s leading showcase for medical design and manufacturing technology, Medilink UK will once again host the Med-Tech Innovation Conference.

The conference is set to feature top speakers within the sector, highlighting the trends and developments taking place within the medtech industry.

One of the major themes this year will be what healthcare and technology will look like in the future. The conference will be started by Karen Taylor, research director at Centre for Health Solutions, Deloitte UK, who will discuss what the life sciences and healthcare sectors will look like in 2022.

Other speakers include Debbie Chinn, director of Solutions Assurance, NHS, who will talk about the current and future trends related to clinical risk management for health informatics.

The conference won’t just be focused on the future however, with current trends on patient safety featuring heavily throughout the conference.

For instance, Janet Monkman will be bringing day one to a close with a talk on the Life Sciences Industry Credentialing Register; the implications for any company accessing any NHS site, and how the register can benefit patient care and advance the healthcare science workforce.

That’s not all, day two will be opened by Alan Summer, head of public affairs, Roche Diagnostics UK & Ireland, who will talk about the government’s Accelerated Access Review and how it can best serve patients.

Other speakers include a company focused on guiding the public and healthcare professionals towards the best health apps, a range medical technology companies and government organisations looking to have their say on important matters impacting business.
