Turbex to clean up at Med‐Tech Innovation Expo
Turbex is exhibiting its range of controllable cleaning equipment for washing and drying medical instruments, prosthetics and consumables after manufacture, during Med-Tech Innovation Expo in Coventry this week.
Established in 1981, the company offers two ranges of aqueous machines - Elma and Mafac - that include ultrasonic and spray wash models.
The group is based in Alton, Hampshire, where demonstrations and cleaning trials are carried out in its showroom and technology centre. Turbex says its focus is on “problem-solving to meet customers’ needs, especially for processing parts of complex geometry to a superior standard of cleanliness”. Both standard and bespoke systems are available, with integrated passivation for pre-cleaning and final cleaning of surgical instruments, endoscopes and implants. An array of handling equipment, accessories and chemicals is available.
Equipment and systems can be validated depending on cleaning and throughput requirements. Quality assurance and its documentation use a data logger and system control is to the Food and Drug Administration’s FDA 21CFR Part 11 with audit trail. Support for risk analysis (FMEA) and validation of systems and processes (IQ & OQ) are provided.
