BIOMEDevice Boston announces list of special keynote speakers

Thernaos whistleblower Erika Cheung, Segway inventor and co-founder Dean Kamen, and a panel from MedExecWomen are special keynote speakers at BIOMEDevice Boston.

Taking place on September 28-29 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center in Boston, these keynotes bring together respected minds and innovators in the biomedical device industry.

Erika Cheung is now the CEO of Ethics in Entrepreneurship, which helps businesses create a proactive ethical culture amongst start-ups. Her Day 1 keynote will focus on aiding future tech leaders to recognise and act when ethical problems arise within the industry. A former medical researcher turned technology and innovation ecosystem builder, Erika will recount her experience at Theranos and how to avoid the same ethical problems.

Dean Kamen will be on hand for the Day 1 afternoon session to detail his journey from patenting the first Segway model to building companies from the ground up. For Day 2, an exclusive panel put together by MedExecWomen will host a panel to discuss the keys to driving adoption of SaMD and digital solutions into medical practice.
