MD&M West is one of five events taking place between 5-7 February, at Advanced Manufacturing Anaheim with Pacific Design & Manufacturing, West Pack, ATX West and PLASTEC West also featuring.

Suzanne Deffree, brand director, intelligent systems & design, UBM said: “Globally, the advanced manufacturing community is entering a new dynamic phase as it becomes more integrated with the adoption of AI, ML and IoT. This means business leaders cannot rely on old responses and solutions in a new manufacturing environment; there is a greater need for the most current and relevant education to stay ahead of the rapidly evolving technology and trends. Prioritising business and career goals for attendees is top of mind at Anaheim and we encourage everyone to participate in all the new activities carefully curated for this year’s event that address the opportunities and challenges that exist in today’s and tomorrow’s market.”

Pacific Design & Manufacturing will debut the Design Dome, a hub featuring interactive design activities and prototyping workshops led by design companies.

WestPack will unveil The Packaging Experience, a space providing a blend of hands-on activities with educational tips put on by Packaging Digest. The interactive exhibit will explore the evolution of packaging through the years and the psychology of branding and allow attendees to participate in DIY packaging activity.

ATX West will feature more than 1,900 suppliers showcasing the latest solutions in automation and assembly, robots and robotic accessories, and will introduce the New Tech Base Camp for 2019 for attendees to explore products and technologies.

Lastly, new to 2019 will be the Career Zone, a designated area where attendees are encouraged to network and connect with peers and premier companies hiring in the engineering space, including: ADMEDES, Cicor Group, Freudenberg Medical, Koch Packaging Systems, Sonoco, Tecan, OPTINOVA, among many more. At the Career Zone, attendees can discuss the design & manufacturing trends influencing career paths through targeted talks, workshops, and networking sessions.

All new attractions across the five events will take place February 5-7, 2019 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.
