Cloud integration software provider, Dell Boomi, is working alongside Dutch start-up digitalAngel on the company’s new healthcare platform.

digitalAngel has adopted the Boomi integration platform as a service (iPaaS) to launch a pilot project focusing on intelligent mattresses. The mattress uses sensory data which is shared with nurses, caregivers and healthcare staff in real-time to provide patient monitoring.
The smart mattress can transmit the data to carers and digitalAngel expects that in the future it will be able to automatically adjust a patient’s sleeping position by reacting to how well a person is sleeping. digitalAngel also hopes to develop a single, unified connected platform for all aspects of smart healthcare.

The company anticipates that smart care products, powered by the likes of biosensors and AI, will be able to use digitalAngel as a central connected platform.
