A Surrey-based supplier of diabetes products to the NHS has placed in the UK’s top 100 tech firms.

GlucoRx was ranked 70th in the Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 league table for its fast growth over the last three years, which saw it record a sales growth of 66%. The company is one of seven in the south east of England which has seen its sales grow by an average of 136% a year and collectively total £120 million.
GlucoRx’s success has led it to being one of five new entries in the Tech Track 100 league table, which ranks Britain’s private technology, media and telecoms companies with the fastest-growing sales.
GlucoRx provides diagnostic and treatment technology for diabetes patients to the NHS, with products including blood glucose meters and insulin pen needed. Last year saw the company hit sales of £24.9 million.

The Tech Track 100 league table highlights the success tech firms have seen across the UK. Average sales growth for the featured companies was £3.3 billion over the last three years and 14,000 employees were added to their combined workforce over that period.
London is the most popular location for tech firms, followed by the North West, whilst from the remaining companies, seven are based in the South East, six in the North East, five in the East, five in the Midlands, three in Wales, two each in Scotland and the South West, and one in Northern Ireland.
