Specialist distributor Heilind has further extended its range of electric components from Molex, with FCT D-Sub connectors now available from the company.
Molex FCT D-Sub connectors are suitable for use in a range of sectors including medical applications. The connector system from Molex is mainly used for signal transmission and high current applications up to 40A. It is also used in communications, power distribution, control panels and test equipment in wire-to-wire, wire-to-board and board-to-board applications.
The FCT D-Sub product family comprises connectors in standard, high-density and mixed-layout versions. Each series comes in five different housing sizes. Molex offers all products (including THT, SMT and crimp versions) in various material and coating combinations. For example, housings in non-magnetic versions are made of brass or chemically nickel-plated.
The range includes backshells and accessory options to provide effective solutions for a variety of applications. If customers are unable to use standard components in a specific application, Heilind and Molex are able to modify the products accordingly.
Turned standard contacts can be loaded with higher currents. They have a lower contact resistance and greater durability compared with stamped contacts, and ensure a safe and reliable semi-permanent electrical path between two devices. D-Sub connectors with stamped contacts are also available.
