DuPont will be showcasing its advanced material technologies at this year’s Compamed and Medica in Düsseldorf.
At Compamed, DuPont will showcase its technology range and portfolio of material solutions for patient-centric medical device applications which aim to:
- Enable design of smaller, less invasive and more performant self-administered drug delivery devices with DuPont’s expanding range of specialty polymers;
- Advance wound and ostomy care, and ensure more reliable and comfortable skin adhesion for wearable devices with DuPont silicone skin adhesive technology; and
- Reinforce processability with the highest purity DuPont liquid silicone rubber (LSR) and high consistency rubber (HCR) solutions for demanding medical devices.
DuPont will also feature its Tyvek solutions, used in sterile medical packaging for products like surgical kits, medical instrumentation or injection systems.
At Medica 2019, DuPont will introduce wireless wearable monitoring solutions, combining DuPont Intexar soft stretchable electronics and DuPont silicone soft skin adhesives in a connected wearable patch prototype, designed by the Holst Center and manufactured by Pronat Medical. Russell Anderson, technical specialist for DuPont Advanced Materials, will speak about this concept at the Medica Connected Healthcare Forum session on Digital Prevention on 20 November, at 4:45 p.m. (CET).
