Supplier to the healthcare industry, Gerresheimer Medical Systems has announced it will be showcasing its range of services at this year’s Medtec China.
The company will be attending the show when it runs from 26-28 September at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition Centre.
Gerresheimer will use the show to present itself as an international development, industrialisation and production partner for the mass production of injection-moulded plastic components. Gerresheimer has services in every step of the value chain including concept development, industrial design, product development, equipment design, toolmaking and more.
Gerresheimer has four global Technical Competence Centres (TCCs) that are responsible for preparing plastic medical systems such as insulin pens, inhalers and auto-injectors for large-scale production.
The TCCs pool together all of the key cross-divisional functions before the product is sent on for mass production. The project work performed on site or in conjunction with the other sites includes steps such as plastic optimisation, series and equipment design, process development, project management, quality planning, toolmaking, automation technology, production preparation, and pilot production.
The company also has a site in Dongguan City near Hong Kong which offers the full range of injection moulding techniques under ISO class 8 clean room conditions as well as assembly, product finishing, and packaging.
At Medtec China, Gerresheimer will be exhibiting at booth H401 in hall 2 of the trade fair.
