The Parliament & HealthTech Conference will feature two panel discussions as well as two keynote speeches, including one from health secretary Matt Hancock.

Hosted by Health Tech Alliance at Portcullis House on 28th January, the inaugural conference will bring together stakeholders from across health and social care to discuss tangible solutions to address the obstacles limiting the uptake of innovation.
The first panel discussion; ‘HealthTech: the future of the NHS?’ will follow a keynote speech and Q&A from Dr Sam Roberts, chief executive of the Accelerated Access Collaborative.
On the panel will be:
- Chris Hopson, chief executive, NHS Providers
- Jennifer Howells, former regional director (South West), NHS England and formerly NHS England regional finance director
- Professor Heather Tierney-Moore OBE, NHS Supply Chain Board and ex-chief executive of Lancashire Care NHS Foundation
- Richard Stubbs, chief executive officer, Yorkshire and Humber AHSN
- Ameer Ally, senior market access & public affairs manager, Edwards Lifesciences.
This will be followed by a second panel discussion titled: ‘Driving the uptake of vital innovation,’ featuring:
- Professor Tim Orchard, CEO, Imperial Healthcare NHS Trust.
- Jo Gander, director of clinical product assurance at NHS Supply Chain
- Joanne Holden, associate director of Medical Technologies Evaluation Programme and Interventional Procedures Programme, NICE
- Rachel Power, CEO of Patients Association.
The event will conclude with a keynote speech from Hancock and a Q&A.
