Indoor location tech company Briteyellow has won financial backing from the UK government to accelerate the development of its people tracking technology.
The company has made a successful bid for investment from the £40 million Fast Start Competition run by Innovate UK. The funding is for a wearable and app for elderly people living alone or in assisted living.
The product will track the movement of people in need inside care homes, hospitals, or in private dwellings, and analyse their behaviour patterns.
Fredi Nonyelu, chief executive of Briteyellow, said: “This Innovate UK investment will accelerate development of this cutting-edge product.
“We see a world where people in need living independently or in social care have the assurance that their well-being is being monitored always.”
This will provide insights for decision making, identifying anomalies through artificial intelligence, and sending alerts to care givers for faster intervention and assurance.
