The event marks the first-ever presence of the ABHI UK Pavilion at the event. Together they will offer a glimpse into the future of healthcare innovation while signifying a significant step towards strengthening the partnership between the UK and Saudi Arabia.
The pandemic's impact has accelerated the adoption of digital solutions and innovations, giving rise to a booming healthtech ecosystem in Saudi Arabia. Moreover, government initiatives to modernise the healthcare industry has further fuelled the growth of this market. As a result, the healthtech market is currently one of the fastest-growing sectors in the country.
As demand for top-tier health technology solutions surge in the KSA, the ABHI UK Pavilion's presence at this year’s Global Health Exhibition underscores the UK's long-standing global recognition as a world-leader in this space. Over three days, the platform will play host to product showcases and launches, offering a glimpse into the latest UK innovations in medical devices, diagnostics, and digital health technologies.
Together innovators from the UK will demonstrate the strengths of UK healthtech and how they are working to tackle today’s biggest healthcare challenges.
This year’s list of exhibitors includes:
- Pharmazon: Launching Pharmazon Global, a B2B wholesale marketplace for UK/EU exports, and Owello, a B2B2C private healthcare marketplace, aimed at overcoming healthcare accessibility challenges, pegged to create an ‘Uber’ for healthcare.
- Smartway Pharmaceuticals: Empowering global access to pharmaceuticals and medical supplies through an unparalleled procurement and distribution network, equipped with extensive knowledge of the KSA market.
- International Hospitals Group (IHG): Expanding its MENA presence with the inauguration of a new office in Riyadh and the launch of two pioneering mental healthcare and addiction brands, Monita and Olympia International Healthcare.
- Healthcare Innovation Consortium (HIC): Pioneering a programme in collaboration with Mecomed to combat antimicrobial resistance, targeting Health Technology innovators in the UK, Ireland and the Middle East.
Michelle Michelucci, head of international events, ABHI, said: “Over three action-packed days, the ABHI UK Pavilion will offer an exceptional opportunity for UK healthtech innovators to showcase their latest healthcare advancements to the burgeoning market in Saudi Arabia. We’re proud to support UK SMEs in showcasing their expertise and capabilities while establishing fruitful partnerships in this dynamic region, where there is significant demand for high-quality healthtech solutions.”
Taking place from 29-31 October in Riyadh, the UK Pavilion (located in Hall 4 C34) will provide a space within the Global Health Exhibition where UK healthtech innovators can showcase their expertise, strengthen their presence in the market and establish partnerships with key stakeholders.
