The ring retractors have been vetted and approved for sale in the NHS eDirect catalogue, so that they can be easily sourced and supplied directly to the operating theatres of NHS Trust members.
JUNE Medical is a medical device company that provides surgical equipment aiming to improve visualisation in surgeries. Its lightweight self-retaining ring retractors feature a unique Cam lock system to allow single-handed adjustments and remove the reliance on surgical assistants, revolutionising the way in which surgeons work. Multiple frames and hooks are available – from sharp to semi-blunt and blunt – to suit a range of procedures, including gynaecology, urology and colorectal, which will all feature on the NHS Supply Chain going forward.
Emma Maidwell, managing director of JUNE Medical, said: “It’s our firm belief that high-quality surgical equipment and healthcare products should be accessible to all, regardless of which hospital you visit. Becoming a proud member of the NHS Supply Chain’s certified manufacturers will help us to reach more surgeons across England and Wales. This achievement – combined with the recent approval for use by military hospitals in the US – is a huge step for the company in gaining government approvals, honouring the quality of our products and manufacturing procedures, and all of those who manage them.”
