Following the introduction of contract service in 2019 and continued expansion during the last year, Oxford Lasers announced the UKAS accreditation for ISO/IEC 17025:2017 at their Didcot site.
The contract services facility which is predominantly aimed for the pharmaceutical, medical device, device manufacturing and device development sectors provides full services for rapid screening of pharmaceutical devices.
Dr Seamus Murphy, manager of imaging division, said: “The UKAS accreditation, marks a new milestone for the Oxford Lasers Imaging division. With the embedded process protocol and business system management, our customers have the assurance and confidence in the services we provide verified by an external source. Our commitment to providing a total quality system to our customers is driven by a desire and pride within Oxford Lasers to ensure the highest level of commitment to our customers and a desire to truly understand the customer needs and their devices.
“We have been providing services and systems into the medical device arena for over thirty years. The opening of the contract services facility in 2019 and the additional investment was the natural next step up to support our customers by providing greater access to a range of technology and capabilities for testing and developing devices.
