3B Medical is launching its newest disinfection product, the Lumin Wand, which will be available from August.
The Lumin Wand was developed out of a need to bring to market a professional strength product to sanitise surfaces. The Lumin Wand provides consumers and small businesses an easy, fast and chemical free way to disinfect kitchen and bathroom countertops, surfaces, keyboards and phones.
The device has a five-hour battery, built in proximity sensor and accelerometer, and a germicidal UVC output that is lab tested to kill most bacteria and viruses.
Alex Lucio, CEO of 3B Medical, said: "Most of the UV travel wands that we evaluated were not at all effective. In our testing, they were all too weakly powered to kill bacteria and viruses. Our patent pending technology allows for safe operation of a commercial strength UVC disinfecting wand that is supported by robust independent lab testing.”
