Medilink East Midlands will host a webinar which tells the story of how PPE regulation was relaxed to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and the practical and personal experiences of becoming a manufacturer of protective face shields for local NHS trusts and nursing homes.
The webinar will take place on 28 May at 11am and will feature Professor Donal McNally, professor of biomechanics at The University of Nottingham.
Alongside speakers from The University of Nottingham, Centre for Healthcare Technologies the webinar will cover:
- Relaxation of PPE standards, particularly EN 166
- How this was implemented in the UK
- Getting a COVID-19 CE mark
- Local production for local NHS Trusts
- What makes it personal
Plus there will be the opportunity to ask questions.
This webinar will be held as part of the INSTILS programme – a project part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
