Medical Engineering Technologies (MET) has added a further 500sqm of chemical characterisation and physical testing space to its ISO 17025 facilities in Dover. This complements recent investments in EMC testing and its long-standing ISO 11607, packaging testing service.
The new laboratories were opened on the 5 April 2019 by former cabinet minister and chairnanb of the Conservative Party Lord Pickles. In attendance was the MET team, investors, business advisors and subcontractors along with clients.
Managing director of MET, Mark Turner said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for us to extend the exemplary support we deliver to medical device and pharmaceutical clients. With a near 100% on time delivery record and 0% complaints record our scientific services are delivered world-wide to a diverse client base’. Lord Pickles said that the team at MET could be proud of their achievements and wished us well for the future.
Technical work at MET is split into five business units: analytical, combination devices, EMC, physical and performance testing, and packaging validation. The quality assurance department has also benefitted from a new home.
