Chemical etching company Precision Micro is exhibiting at Medtec Europe to showcase its technology for medical devices.
Visitors to the company’s booth (9A40), will be able to see examples of intricate and accurate metal parts Precision Micro products for medical OEMs.
Chemical etching is used to produce complex metal components with very fine detail. It is suitable for the widest range of metals, including medical grade alloys which exhibit high strength-to-weight ratio, biocompatibility and corrosion resistance.
Precision Micro will be displaying a variety of chemically etched titanium implants including intricate meshes used in pacemaker batteries, contacts used in hearing aids and craniomaxillofacial (CMF) meshes.
Precision Micro says that it is the only manufacturer that is able to fulfil the requirements that medical OEMs have for precision titanium parts and components. The company is working towards ISO 13485 accreditation by the end of 2018.
At MedTec Europe, staff from Precision Micro will be on hand to demonstrate how chemical etching can give medical OEMs the competitive edge.
