3D printing and design company UNYQ has announced the launch of its 3D-printed prosthetic leg socket.
It is one of several additional products to be added to its prosthetic wear line by the end of 2021.
The socket contains sensors that records the individuals’ activity, including number of steps and calories burnt. It has been ISO 10328 tested, ensuring the highest standard of quality. Clinicians benefit from improved patient satisfaction, access to data and the ability to easily replicate the product. This can save time both for the clinician and the end user. Many amputees have more than one prosthetic leg, so replication of the socket at the press of a button saves multiple visits.
