Seabrook Technology Group, the Irish-owned manufacturing software specialist, is forecasting growth of 20% in the next two years in its operations in the US, with cumulative revenue since 2012 expected to reach $10 million.
Seabrook Technology Group managing Director, Sean O’Sullivan, this week hosted representatives from US medtech firms including Zimmer Biomet and Cardinal Health, to discuss the future of the medtech industry, ahead of Med In Ireland, which was held in the RDS, Dublin.
In the past five years, Seabrook has opened offices in California and Indiana, and increased staff numbers by 40%.
O’Sullivan said: “Despite political upheaval in the States, our presence there has grown. As the US moves to bring manufacturing companies back to the States, Seabrook can capitalise on this increased domestic production, helping implement new advanced processes for medical device manufacturers.
“Seabrook works with many industry leaders, and from our recent discussions, a key takeaway is that there are huge opportunities in both Ireland and the US for those in the medtech sector. However, companies need to have the necessary resources to develop in line with this growth. Seabrook’s advanced technology offering ensures medical device manufacturers have access to the advanced technology and expertise they need to ensure increased quality, traceability and an overall positive impact on the end-user experience.”
Earlier this year, Seabrook announced a significant US channel partnership deal with Siemens Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) software, enabling Seabrook to offer the software to new and existing clients in the US, with particular regard to the medical device manufacturing and biotech sectors. This news corresponded with Seabrook being named as the main distributor of Siemens PLM Software for the entire Irish manufacturing sector.
Seabrook works with numerous multi-national and indigenous firms in the pharmaceutical and medical devices industry, including Zimmer Biomet, Stryker, Zoll Medical, Cardinal Health, Illumina, Carl Zeiss Meditec, Terumo and Thermo Fisher Scientific.
